Sandy: Make no mistake— if I die without an Heir, they'll lose no time in doing to Rackenroon what they did to that gazelle carcass. If they don't divide it up between them, then they'll appoint one of their own daughters to be the next Duchess. Which is why I don't expect a lo of enthusiastic assistance from them. You and your sister may want to check their paws for daggers before letting them pat your back.
