Sandy: What makes you think you've got the right to go forcing people to change their way of life?
Fred: We wouldn't be "forcing" them to do anything. We would improve the economy and infrastructure, and they would benefit from it— a rising tide lifts all ships.
Kathy: That's what I'm trying to get across to you— these people aren't in the same boat!
B: What We Really Need
Sandy: I was talking to Horn, and he says the one thing the Maramasai needs above all else is water— if you could guarantee a constant supply of water, so that drought was banished forever, you would never need to worry about the loyalty of the herds.
Fred: I know. Would you like to hear my Plan for water security in the Maramasai?
