A: Obsession
Jade: Trooper Kosa, has anyone ever told you that you have an unhealthy obsession with General Maiham..?
Koz: Not as nicely as you just did, Ma'am!
Jade: I'm afraid your idea would not work. All my girls are striped hyenas, and I do not know any spotted hyenas I could rely on to do this job for you.
Kathy: Then use the men. Have your girls make inquiries when a Black Watchman shows up. See what they can uncover. ...Er, I mean...
B: Trust
Jade: I am afraid I would not remain in business for long if I were to do such a thing, Mistress. Even if we were not talking about the Watch, it would constitute a serious breach of trust. My reputation may not be a good one, but I do have a reputation to uphold.
Fred: And anyway, I doubt Jinjur would confide any weaknesses to the men in her command. She is singularly— and brutally— misanthropic. Their testimony would be coloured by her ill-treatment of them. They would be... unreliable.
Murphy: She axed me t'join her gang. Said she'd make me a Sarjint.
Fred: !
Jade: !
Koz: !
Kathy: !
