Kathy: Hey, Scooter, wait up! What's gotten into you? Are you on drugs? Should you be on drugs? Why did you go off on Walter like that?
Scooter: I just couldn't take it any more, Kath! You've been the only person at this rag who's ever supported Pepe! Oh, sure, they're all happy for me now, but for eight years they acted like Walter let me put Pepe into the paper just so he wouldn't have to pay me the full rate as art director!
Kathy: I seem to remember that you jumped at that deal...
Scooter (icily): That's beside the point...
