Loxley: How does this sound, guys...? It is interesting to note that although the Japanese and the Americans both produced many "monster movies," the Japanese used giant insects only once, while the Americans have a long catalog of giant bug films. It has been speculated that this is due in part to the fact that since Americans has to conquer nature to settle their continent, they are more apt to view the natural world as a threat, whereas the suffering endured by the Japanes from nuclear bombs has made them more fearful of science and the unnatural horrors it can create!

Loxley: So, Scooter, you're the expert. What do you think of my article?
Scooter: Less talk, more giant bugs.
